XAG Type Endorsement
Although Wide Bay Drones are Australia’s leading suppliers of DJI Agricultural drones, we have also flown and operated XAG platforms. Because of this, we also offer XAG Manufacturer Training and Type Endorsments on the XAG platforms. We can complete training on all XAG P30, V40, P100 and P100 Pro, with CASA certification added to your RePL upon completion.
See the details below.
Some info on XAG training
When you sign up for our CCP, we will get you booked into one of our training courses where you will get what we believe to the best training in the business. You will be provided with all the materials you need to train including manuals, aircraft etc etc. You don’t even need to bring a pen. We will supply that too!
Why do I need this training?
CASA requires anyone flying a drone weighing more than 25kg to have an RePL, and then a “type endorsement” for any machine that weighs more than 25kg, added to their RePL. This training will give you that type endorsement.
I only want to fly over my own land. Do I still need it?
Yes! Even if you are going to operate over your own land, CASA require you to have a Remote Pilots Licence (RePL) with the Type Endorsement for the particular machine you wish to operate.
How much does it cost?
If you already have an RePL, the cost for the flight test only is $890
If you opt to complete the full XAG manufacturers training which includes flight test, then the cost for the 3 days is $2490.
If you don’t have an RePL, we can arrange for you to sit our RePL course prior (addition costs incurred)
How long does it take?
The flight test is one day only, however if you opt to complete the full XAG manufacturers training, this course is conducted over 3 days in person. For the manufacturers training there is some pre-study that you will need to complete such as reading manuals etc. After this you will then be required to attend the training sessions for the 3 days to complete which includes a flight test at the end.
What will I learn?
The XAG Manufacturer Training course we have developed is designed to take you through the knowing very little about the aircraft, right through to having a good understand of how it works, and how to operate safely.
Here is some of what you will be taught;
– How to use all of the equipment, and how to use the software appropriately to operate the drone in a safe and legal manner.
– How to do basic maintenance on your drones, to ensure you get the best out them, and keep the running.
– Recording requirements under the Part 101 Manual of Standards
– Regulatory Requirements for operation of Medium class RPA.
Will Wide Bay Drones handle all the paperwork?
Yes, of course. Wide Bay Drones will facilitate all of the paperwork for you and submit to CASA on your behalf. We will also pay the fees to CASA directly.
